Jaipur to Pushkar

Day 6

Jaipur to Pushkar

After morning breakfast drive to Pushkar the Holy place for Hindu 155 km and 4 hour drive.

On arrival check in hotel and proceed to explore the holy city Pushkar, Pushkar is a mellow, serene and bewitching little town which attracts those in search of some respite from the tumult of India. Pushkar is right on the edge of the desert and is only 11 km for Ajmer but separated from it by Nag Pahar the snake mountain. The town clings the side of the small Pushkar Lake with its many bathing ghats and temples, for Hindu.

Pushkar boats temples, though few are as ancient as you might expect at such an important pilgrimage site, since many were deserted by Aurangzeb and subsequently rebuilt. The most famous is the Brahma Temple, said to be one of the few temples in the world dedicated to this deity. It is marked by red spire, and over the entrance gateway is the hans, or goose symbol, of Brahma who is said to have personally chosen Pushkar as its site.

Day 7 Pushkar to Jodhpur

Afrer morning breakfast driver to Jodhpur by road 250 km and 6 hour drive

Jodhpur- Rao Jodha Ji who claimed descent from Lord Rama (the hero of epic Ramayana) founded Jodhpur, the former capital of Marwar state, in 1459. The city was built as a result of warring brothers. Jodhpur and its historic origins are best revealed by countless cultural celebrations taking place here, of this Marwar festival an annual feature it the most inspiring spectacle of the region. A variety of Rajsthani folk music and dance performances.

Mehrangarh Fort- spread over 5 km. on a stiff rugged hill and looking down from a height of about 100 mtr. The fort appears invincible and impenetrable from outside but houses some of the most intricately adorned palaces with exquisitely carved panels and latticed windows. Moti Maha, Phool Mahal Sheesh Mahal, sileh Kahana and Daulat Kahana are some of the important palace.

Evening- proceed for village safari where they will meet the premier ecologist of the world the, Bishnoi, who have protected nature for more than 500 years and are responsible for the very survival of species like the Black Buck antelope. The share beautiful relationship with theius special animal wherein the antelope stays close to Bishnoi habitation, never leaving it, and displays complete trust in the Bishnoi people.

Day 8

Rohtegarh to Ranakpur –Udaipur

After morning breakfast driver to Udaipur the The Lake city of India. 230 km and 6 Hour drive

One the way visit Ranakpur Temple – Visit Ranakpur Jaipur Temple -Udaipur is an enchanting cituy. From lakes in the midst of sandy terrain to green forested hills where wildlife still abounds, the surprises are endless and in the lakes, or by their edges, are palaces straight out of fairy tales, each more beautiful than the other.

 

Day 9

Udaipur City tour- after the morning breakfast drive to Eklinji and Nagda Temples,built in white marble with double storied porch on the bank of Lake Bageela-22 km from lUdaiur. On the way back to Udaipur visit City Palace Complex and Jagdish Temple. Evening Boat ride on Lake Pichola.

Day 10  Udaipur to Chittorgarh

After breakfast drive to Chittorgah 236 km from Udaipur 5 Hour drive.

Chittorgarh is the epitome of Rajput pride, romance and sprit. It reverberates with history of heroism and sacrifice, which is evident as its echoes with the tales sung by the Bards of Rajasthan. The main reason for visiting Chittorgarh is its massive hilltop fort, which is a depiction of Rajput culture and values. The fort of Chittor is regarded as one of the most outstanding forts of the country and is indeed the Pride of Rajasthan State. The  formidable fort is perched atop a 180 meter high hillock covering a massive area of 700 acres and is a standing sentinel to the courage and valour of Chittorgarh. It is believed that the fort was built by the Mauryans in 7th century.

Day 11 Chittorgarh to Samode Palace night stay

Day 12 samode to Delhi by road.
